Cardiac Camp at Asrang, Gorkha

On March 29, 2025, Jayanti Memorial Trust (JMT), in coordination with the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC), successfully organized a free cardiac health camp in Asrang, Gorkha. The program was conducted in partnership with Sambhav Nepal NGO and the Bhimsenthapa Village Development Committee (VDC).

The primary objective of the camp was to extend essential cardiac care services to people living in remote areas who have limited access to specialized medical facilities. The camp provided comprehensive cardiac screening and consultation services, ensuring that individuals from the community received timely evaluation and advice regarding their heart health.

A total of 510 individuals from the surrounding villages benefited from the camp. Out of these, 330 patients underwent ECHO (Echocardiography) tests and 375 received ECG (Electrocardiogram) examinations to assess their cardiac function. Furthermore, 16 patients were identified with significant heart-related conditions and were referred to higher centers for further diagnosis, management, and treatment.

This initiative not only provided much-needed medical assistance but also played a crucial role in raising awareness about cardiovascular diseases and promoting preventive heart care among rural communities. The collaborative effort of JMT, MCVTC, Sambhav Nepal, and Bhimsenthapa VDC reflects a strong commitment to improving cardiac health and ensuring that quality healthcare reaches even the most remote corners of Nepal.
