Cardiac Camp at Doti

Feb 20th 2024

Jayanti Memorial Trust (JMT), in collaboration with SGNHC, successfully organized a one-day Free Cardiac Health Camp at Wayal, Doti, with the objective of providing essential cardiac screening services to the local community of this remote region

During the camp, a total of 620 people were screened. Among them, 500 patients underwent ECHO examinations and 70 patients received ECG tests. The camp facilitated early identification of heart-related conditions and offered appropriate medical consultation and referral services to those requiring further evaluation and treatment.

Cardiac camps are especially important in remote districts like Doti, where access to specialized cardiac care is limited due to geographical challenges and lack of advanced medical facilities. Such camps help in early diagnosis of heart diseases, prevent serious complications, and reduce the need for patients to travel long distances to urban centers for basic cardiac evaluation. In addition, these camps promote awareness about heart health, encourage preventive care, and strengthen the overall healthcare system at the community level.

Through initiatives like this, Jayanti Memorial Trust and its partners continue to extend quality cardiac services to underserved populations and contribute to improving cardiovascular health in rural Nepal.
