Jayanti Memorial Trust (JMT), in collaboration with SGNHC, successfully organized a two-day Free Heart Health Camp at Beni, Myagdi, under the leadership of Dr. Rabi Malla. The camp aimed to provide accessible cardiac screening and early diagnosis services to the local population of this remote region.
A total of 1,050 patients were screened during the two-day program. Among them, 948 patients underwent ECHO examinations and 192 patients received ECG tests. The camp enabled early detection of various cardiac conditions and provided timely medical advice and referral services where necessary.
Such cardiac camps play a vital role in remote areas of Nepal where access to specialized cardiac care is limited. They help in identifying heart diseases at an early stage, reducing long-term complications and improving survival rates. Moreover, these camps raise awareness about heart health, encourage regular check-ups, and reduce the financial and geographical burden faced by rural communities in seeking advanced medical services.
