Since 2011 Jayanti Memorial Trust has laid a great emphasis on not only in the treatment of the cardiac patients but also in improving the knowledge and skills of our national doctors. Thus, JMT thinks it necessary to conduct a continuing medical education for doctors every year where our experts from abroad come and share with our doctors the newer techniques in the medical field. Such conferences give our doctors a platform to learn a better and more effective approach towards handling a situation and remain up to date with the advancements in the technology.
The Continuing Medical Education for Physicians was held on the 2nd of December, 2016 at the Fishtail Lodge, Pokhara. The moderator of the event was our very own Prof. Dr. Bhagawan Koirala. The conference revolved around “Post Operative Cardiac Cases” while the key speakers were prominent cardiologists from the University of Colorado like Dr. Frederick Grover, Dr. David Fullerton, Dr. Robert Quaife and Dr. Dave Campbell.
This was a closed conference targeting physicians, surgeons, cardiologists and final year interns and was attended by 43 members of the medical fraternity within Pokhara. The conference was followed by a dinner and JMT hopes that the participants will share their learning with many more.
